about our roles

Find the work you love at Precision.

Physical Therapist — Movement Specialist

Precision Physical Therapy | Clayton, MO

Build your career around the work you love.

Some physical therapists are drawn to a particular sport. Others love taking a deeper look at movement and figuring out what will help someone get back to what they love.

If you’re the clinician who enjoys looking closely at how someone moves, asking why a problem keeps happening, and finding connections that may have been missed, this role was built for you.

We work with active people who want more than a generic exercise program or temporary symptom relief. They want to understand what is contributing to their problem, what they can do about it, and how they can get back to the activities that matter to them.

We’re looking for a physical therapist with a strong foundation in movement assessment and clinical reasoning who wants the time, mentorship, and clinical environment to continue developing those skills.

About Precision

Precision Physical Therapy is an independent, private-pay physical therapy practice in Clayton, Missouri.

Our clinical approach is strongly influenced by the Movement System Impairment framework developed at Washington University in St. Louis. We use systematic movement assessment to understand the relationship between how someone moves, what they experience, and what needs to change.

Our patients are active and engaged in their care. Many come to us because they want a more thorough assessment and a plan that connects what they're doing in physical therapy to the activities they want to get back to.

An environment built for great clinical work

Time to assess, think, and treat.
Every visit is 60 minutes, one-on-one. You’ll have time to observe movement, test your clinical hypotheses, teach, reassess, and adjust your approach. A full caseload is approximately 32 patients per week.

Interesting patients and meaningful goals.
You’ll work with active adults across a wide range of presentations and goals—from persistent musculoskeletal problems to returning to demanding recreational activities and sports.

Develop deeper expertise in movement.
You’ll have direct mentorship in movement assessment and the MSI framework, along with regular opportunities to discuss cases and refine your clinical reasoning.

See patients through the full process.
Our goal isn't simply to decrease symptoms. You'll help patients change movement, build strength and capacity, and return to the activities they care about.

A team that learns together.
Clinical discussion is part of how we work. We ask questions, share what we're seeing, and help each other become better clinicians.

What you’ll do

  • Provide 60-minute, one-on-one physical therapy visits.

  • Perform systematic movement assessments to identify factors contributing to a patient's symptoms and limitations.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on movement, clinical findings, and patient goals.

  • Teach patients how their movement relates to what they are experiencing and what they can do to change it.

  • Progress patients from movement training through strength, capacity, and return to activity.

  • Work with active adults and athletes across a wide variety of presentations.

  • Participate in regular case collaboration and mentorship.

  • Continue developing your expertise in movement assessment and clinical reasoning.

Our clinic provides the space and equipment to move seamlessly from detailed assessment and movement training into strength, loading, and return to activity.
